New voice for Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park

5 May 2008

A new magazine which puts the spotlight on Scotland’s first national park has been launched by the Friends of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs. The magazine, called The Voice, aims to raise the profile of the Park and features articles about its special qualities, efforts being made to conserve the area and the lives and livelihoods of those who live there.

The first issue includes a contribution by nature writer Jim Crumley as well as articles on forestry in the National Park and the Rob Roy Way. Launching the new publication Friends of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs Director, Martin Varley said: “The National Park is worth celebrating and we hope that this magazine will help more people understand and explore why it is worth protecting. We want to build on the success of this first issue and highlight more of the good things which are happening in the Park.”

The magazine is published twice yearly. Normally it is only available to Friends of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs members, but readers can claim a free copy of this first magazine by emailing their name and address to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
