Page 1 of 2 The Friends of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs is the only charity working to conserve the landscape of Scotland’s first National Park. Over the last 30 years, both prior and since the formation of the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, we have been dedicated to:
Promoting sustainable development and planning.
We monitor closely developments in the National Park and work with developers to ensure that proposals respect the character of the area’s landscape.

Conserving and enhancing the area’s natural and cultural heritage.
We work towards the conservation and enhancement of the natural and cultural heritage in the National Park. This has included activities such as the renovation of Pulpit Rock, near Ardlui, on the western shore of Loch Lomond and Bruce’s tree near Tarbet, an archaeological survey of the Loch Lomond islands and working with the National Trust for Scotland on the purchase of Ben Lomond.
